Why Can’t Bachelorette Runner-Up Arie Luyendyk Jr. Vote?
Arie Luyendyk Jr. has it all: a hot new flirty thing with Courtney Robertson, action star looks, and that darling salt and pepper head of hair. But there’s one thing Emily Maynard’s ex doesn’t have: voting rights. While Ryan Bowers is tweeting heavy-handed support of Mitt Romney, Natalie Getz is liveblogging her polling experience, and Jaclyn Swartz and Rachel Truehart joke about a campaign centered around Louboutins, Arie had to sit out during election day.
The Bachelorette Season 8 runner up tweeted: “Quick, someone vote for me! Crazy that I can't vote because I've lived here since I was 2. I think it's about time I become a citizen, feeling bummed about it today... #merh.” Arie was born in The Netherlands (hot), but currently resides in Arizona — and has for most of his life!
If he could participate in the great American tradition of democracy, who do you think Arie’d vote for: Barack Obama or Mitt Romney?
