How Do the RHONY Stars Feel About the Presidential Election Results?
New York is an historically blue state – meaning, its electoral votes usually go to the Democratic candidate in a presidential election – and last night the tradition was not broken. So, how do theReal Housewives of New York feel about President Barack Obama winning another four years? The sentiments are pretty mixed for sure!
Sonja Morgan: Sonja wasopenly Team Mitt Romney for the 2012 Presidential Election, so chances are, she’s not too thrilled with the fact that incumbent democrat Barack Obama sealed the win last night. She hasn’t tweeted in response yet, though.
Ramona Singer: While Ramonasaid she was “glued” to her television last night as the election results came down, she went radio silent after that. During the second debate, though, she’d allied with the Republican candidate on at least one issue, when shetweeted support for one ofRomney’s position claims by writing “Our country needs jobs for college graduates and all.”
Jill Zarin: Jill never spilled on the candidate she sided with most, but after the third debate on foreign policy, sheclaimed to have made her choice. After the results, Jilltweeted vaguely, “Everything works out in the end, if it hasn't worked out, it's not the end!” Definitely a toss up with her.
Carole Radziwill: To show her quiet support for Barack Obama this week, Carole re-tweeted actress Caroline Rhea’smessage, “Remember if you are a woman, you know a woman or you came out of a woman you know who to vote for.” That’s one in the Obama corner, so Carole – though she hasn’t outright said so just yet – is probably pleased with the results.
Alex McCord: Alex and her hubby Simon van Kempen are pleased as punch with the results. Alextweeted congratulations to the President immediately after the results came down, and Simon himself boasted, “I'm 2 for 2 as I've voted in 2 Presidential elections & backed the winner both times!”
