Dancing With The Stars

Why Did Maksim Chmerkovskiy Pick Tristan MacManus For the Trio Dance? You’ll Be Surprised!

Kirstie Alley has made it clear why she chose Tristan MacManus to dance in her trio with Maksim Chmerkovskiy in the Dancing With the Stars Season 15, Week 8: Performance Show (airing November 12): He’s hot, and she thought he was single. But Maks had completely different reasons for bringing the adorable Irishman back into the mix.

“I made a joke that we picked him because we just want him to be paid,” Maks writes in his TVGuide blog.

Poor Tristan! As DWTS fans know, Pamela Anderson and Tristan were the first couple to be eliminated on the All-Stars season, so Tristan didn’t get much of a chance to dance. Maks added, “I can’t wait to work with Tristan … Tristan’s very positive, very fun, lighthearted and he’s a very good dancer, so I’m really looking forward to the trio.”

Next week, Kirstie and Maks will dance the Viennese Waltz by themselves, and then Tristan will join them for a second dance. Will all the moves put too much pressure on the easily frazzled Kirstie? We’ll have to wait and see!
