Woman Sentenced to Public Shaming After Driving on Sidewalk to Pass Unloading School Bus

A Cleveland woman caught using the sidewalk to pass a school bus unloading children has been handed down a controversial, shame-based sentence.

Along with 30-day suspension of her driver’s license and a $250 fine, Shena Hardin must stand at an intersection for two days wearing a sign that reads, “Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus.” Whether you agree with the judge’s tactics or not, you have to agree that Shena probably won’t reoffend after suffering that kind of public humiliation.

If you are curious about the severity of her crime, take a look at the footage snapped by the bus driver himself. Her actions were definitely illegal and reckless — endangering not only the school children coming on and off the bus, but any pedestrian walking down the sidewalk!
