Cory Monteith on His Recent Weight Loss: What’s His Secret to Success?

You’ve probably noticed already, but just in case you missed it: Glee’s Cory Monteith (Finn) got really hot over the summer. Like smokin’ hot.

Not that he wasn’t attractive before — in the cute, high school quarterback kind of way. But these days? Wow. (Better keep doing those crunches, Brody [Dean Geyer], because Rachel’s ex can definitely give you a run for your money in the looks department.)

Cory recently lost an estimated 20 lbs, and we aren’t the only ones who have noticed the change. Ryan Seacrest interviewed Cory for his KIIS FM morning show on November 8, and he certainly took note.

“The shots of you recently, you look like you’ve gotten into even better shape,” Ryan said. “Have you been losing weight or working out?” Cory’s answer was short and sweet. “Yeah, it’s been important. You’ve got to stay with your fitness, man. Stay with that fitness.”

The Glee star credits “not inhaling pounds and pounds of food that is bad for you” as one of his main keys to success. “I was a terrible eater, man,” he says. “Horrible. Horrible habits. You’ve got to just cut all that stuff out and go for a run now and then. Simple.”

But when you work on a TV show with full catering on set, not inhaling all the sweets and snacks can be difficult. “It’s always there waiting for you. It’s really hard to have stuff around. Just finally had to say no. Just going to drink some water and eat my banana.”

Drink some water and eat my banana. Can somebody make a T-shirt of that?
