Who Will Be Cut From The X Factor Tonight? A Scientific Analysis
Well, the short answer is “no one,” since the results show is not until Thursday, November 8. But you know what we mean. Which of the Top 12 acts are most at risk for going home? Wetpaint lays out a scientific analysis:
1. Jason Brock. Even though we wish he were our roommate/best friend/shopping buddy/personal traveling minstrel, we’re a little worried about Jason. L.A. Reid saved him last week over fan favorite (fans = us + two people we talked to) David Correy, calling out Jason’s mad entertaining skills. But the mentor’s cryptic titling of one as “Mr. Entertainer” and the other as “Star” was oddly misaligned with his move to send David home. We think Jason is fabulous, but he’s more on the edge of a cliff than the edge of glory.
2. Vino Alan. We fell head over heels for the super-tatted singer the first time he opened his mouth. (In fact, we turned to each other and said “this is going to be good.”) But bottom line is, he needs to go back to the Ray LaMontagne and Marvin Gaye side of things, and far, far, far (what’s farther than far?) away from Nickelback. Nickelback, you guys. Nobody has the X Factor while singing Nickelback.
3. Paige Thomas. Paige is sooo beautiful and she has been a real trooper, especially when her audition song was copped by CeCe (who sang it better), she got bullied by, um, everyone, and Demi Lovato made her way really unflattering things. So, what’s the problem? Well, Paige has yet to showcase the true range of her vocals. Her best performance was in her first audition — when she got to choose her song. If she wants to stick around, she should probably speak up stat.
4. 1432. There are five girls in this group and those five girls presumably have lots of friends, and so they have lots of votes available to them — especially considering Dinah Jane Hansen has an insane amount of support. Seems like they should be golden, but they have two distinct disadvantages: first, they’ve been together the least amount of any of the groups. In their first live performance, Demi said Camila Cabello was the only one who made waves. Their other problem? Well, they don’t technically have a name. People like to stand behind things, but the group formerly known as LYLAS is currently nameless. It’s hard to make posters to wave in support when there’s nothing to write on em...
