Peta Murgatroyd: We’re Entering the “Danger Zone” on DWTS All-Stars
Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd have a very appropriate song for their Dancing With the StarsAll-Stars Week 8 Quickstep: "Danger Zone" from Top Gun. Everyone is doing two dances tonight (November 12), one of which features a song honoring the armed forces for Veterans Day. But this Quickstep can also be dedicated to all seven couples remaining, since they are all in the Danger Zone going into tomorrow night’s double elimination.
Unlike some of their fellow castmates (hint, hint, Val), Gilles and Peta are strictly business all week. “Occasionally I'll have a glass of wine when I get home at night, but usually to unwind, I hop straight into bed. I'm exhausted,” Peta wrote in her People.com blog. “There's no time for going out and partying. All my energy lies in getting Gilles to the finals.”
She said Gilles is really embracing the character of their Quickstep, which includes them running around the whole floor without stopping at all. They also have pro dancer Chelsie Hightower working with them in their Trio Dance, which for them is a Salsa.
Because there was no show last Tuesday (due to the election), they all had an extra day of practice. Now Peta is feeling confident and she said she’s inspired by Gilles every day.
“He's amazing to work with, and we collaborate all the time with ideas. I never shun away his ideas,” Peta says. Good! It’s great to see how much passion Gilles has for this, even on Week 8 when you could understand some celebs winding down and just wanting a break. He’s the Energizer Bunny of All-Stars — just wind him and up and watch him go!
Do you think Gilles and Peta will make the finals?
