Luckily, Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Stephen at a November 11 event honoring the show for its 9/11 episode at Los Angeles City Hall, and we had the chance to ask him for some scoop on what to expect. Stephen offered a few details, and also previewed what’s to come for Angela(Michaela Conlin) this season, too.
What can you say about a near-death experience this season? We’re actually starting to prep that episode now. Brennan is going to have a near death experience and questions some of the scientific beliefs she had, that she felt were true and certain. We’re trying to budge her from that certainty.
I feel like something is grating on Angela this season. Is she going through a crisis? I think she is someone who, when the series started, was working at the Jeffersonian part time, and became full-time. And I think she is re-examining her commitment to working at the Jeffersonian full time.
Will she go undercover? She will. She will don roller skates.
Does it give her a new perspective on what she’s doing? It will give her a new perspective on roller skating.
What can you say about the ballroom dancing episode? It’s one of our undercover episodes. We do one every year and we love doing them. David and Emily are hilarious. And it was a lot of fun to do the episode. To see them dance… We have Mary Murphy and Tyce Diorio and many of the finalists and winners of So You Think You Can Dance, so the dancing is amazing.
Which one is the better dancer — Emily or David? Me.
