Why Some Ryan Gosling Fans Are Disappointed With Him
The double-edged sword of having a celebrity co-own a restaurant is, on one hand, that buzz can bring in more customers. But, on the other hand, a lot of those customers are probably going to be looking for the celeb to be there. If the celeb isn't there all the time (or ever), that can lead to disappointed patrons.
That seems to be the case with some fans who've been visiting Tagine in Beverly Hills, which is co-owned by Ryan Gosling. According to QMI, Ryan has been a co-owner since 2008, and helped renovate the place by hand, but he hasn't been to the restaurant in months.
“It’s still always all over the Internet that Ryan Gosling is here since he owns it, so we came and thought we’d get to see him,” a Vancouver resident visiting with her daughter told QMI (via the Toronto Sun). “But we got to talking with the waiter and he told us Ryan hasn’t been around in months.”
Making the situation worse: This is a high-end restaurant and patrons pay about $100 per person, including wine, to dine here. It'd be nice if he could find the time to visit more often, but he's on a busy filming streak, and it's not like the name of the place is Ryan Gosling's Daily Hangout. But maybe he can visit there this weekend, after People magazine reveals its Sexiest Man Alive for 2012. We're hearing it's not Ryan, so maybe he should get back out to his restaurant and remind people he is still the people's heartthrob, even if he's still not People's.
