Carson Daly Shares His Thoughts on The Voice Season 3 Format Changes: “We Pride Ourselves on Being Authentic”

Few people get as much in-depth time on The Voice stage as host Carson Daly. The former TRL host has been with the hit reality show from the beginning, and is especially excited for this season's format changes.

Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the host on the red carpet following the live results show, and he had a lot to say about this season’s new format.

We recently learned that, thanks to some new rules, not every coach is guaranteed a spot in the Final 4. This comes as a welcome change to Carson, who thinks it will encourage the coaches to up the ante.

“They’re rich and famous, so maybe they have to sit there with nothing for once in their lives,” Carson joked. “You know what, good for them! Maybe they should have coached harder.”

Oh, Carson!

And his comments didn’t stop there. When asked about this season’s Top 10, Carson was full of compliments for this season's contestant pool.

“I think with The Voice, we pride ourselves on being authentic and about our contestants more so than our coaches, and I think they’re good,” he said.
