How Sharon Osbourne Lost 28 Pounds — With This Many More to Go
Sharon Osbourne has had a few health scares, including a fight with colon cancer and a recent preventive double mastectomy. But her body has also been through a lot of up-and-down weight changes, something she’s struggled with her whole life. Sharon told Us Weekly got lost weight with a lap-band but it made her sick and, when she she removed it she gained 45 pounds.
Atkins approached her about working with them, and the 60-year-old TV host has been on the proteins and veggies diet since early September. So far, Sharon told Us Weekly, "I've lost 28 pounds on the Atkins diet. I want to lose another seven and I'll do that over time." Her husband, Ozzy, son, Jack, and assistant are on the diet as well.
It’s been a while since the carb-avoiding Atkins diet was all the rage — lately, celebs like Jennifer Hudson and Jessica Simpson have been pushing Weight Watchers — so maybe they are hoping Sharon will give them some fresh buzz. If it works for her, maybe it will work for someone else.
