When we tell you that Jennifer Lawrence swam with manta rays and whale sharks, you might think she’s filming a Hunger Games scene set in some unpublished aquatic arena.
But no, the 22-year-old was just seeking some adventure at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, which lets guests swim with the creatures as part of its Journey with Gentle Giants Immersion Program.
Whale sharks are the biggest fish in the world — and manta rays are pretty enormous, too. Luckily for Jennifer, both species eat only little stuff like plankton and have no appetite for movie stars.
Jennifer took a dip with the underwater beast, and the aquarium proudly boasted its celebrity encounter yesterday on Twitter (November 12).
Jennifer is in Atlanta to film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
No word on how the sharks and rays are enjoying Jennifer Lawrence’s latest cinematic turn in The Silver Linings Playbook, in theaters this week
