The Voice’s Amanda Brown Dishes Behind-the-Scenes Secrets of Her Florence + the Machine Live Show Performance
Though she got her start singing gospel music in her church choir, Team Adam’s Amanda Brown isn’t afraid to show off some leg as she’s showing off her pipes on The Voice Season 3.
The fan favorite has definitely bared it all on the stage, and was more than happy to talk about the visual elements of her performances when Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with her after last night’s show.
Here’s what she had to say:
Wetpaint Entertainment: Tell us about your song choice for tonight. Amanda Brown: I was really inspired by the music. I was really inspired by the lyrics of this song. It's about kind of describing the world through color, and it gave me a very ethereal feel, and I wanted to incorporate that visually in my performance. How do you feel after tonight? I feel great. It's in the direction of what my original music sounds like. It's always difficult when you're performing covers. It doesn't represent you 100 percent like your original music will. How do you feel when people refer to you as “the backup singer"? Do you feel that it’s helpful or detrimental to your experience on The Voice? It was an amazing experience being a background singer and I'm so proud of it that when people bring it up, I'm just kind of honored. What do you see happening with your career down the line regardless of the outcome of the show? I definitely want to continue to do music that maybe will give America a better idea of what my original music will sound like. I think people might be a little surprised, but I definitely want to ease more in that direction from this point forward.
