Did People Magazine Snub The Situation Out of Its Sexiest Man Alive Issue?

As huge fans of the Jersey Shore boys, we were pretty disappointed to learn that none of them were included in People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive issue. As reality TV’s buffest panty-dropping, game-talking guidos, Pauly D, Vinny, The Situation, and Ronnie are always guaranteed to have a shirt before the shirt, and a shiny new tan.

So what gives?

Let’s take The Situation, for example. Not only did he rock the Zeitgeist with his abdominal muscles’ own nickname, but he’s on TV every week proving just how sexy he is. Girls cannot keep their hands off of him, begging him to take his shirt off, and happily grinding their behinds into his lap. As Jersey Shore fans know, none of this is an exaggeration. You cannot deny this man’s sex appeal, whether you love him or hate him.

We obviously weren’t expecting The Situation to run away with the grand prize — the coveted cover and title went to Channing Tatum this year — but the issue always includes at least 40 other celebrities inside, posing in photo shoots or rounded up into categories, like “Sexy at Every Age,” or “Men of the Year.”

Even if People had decided they didn’t want to include any Jersey Shore guys, we might have been okay with that, but then we noticed something. This year, People included a special feature on the “Sexiest Magic Mikes,” photographing five hot celebrities named Mike all dressed up in flamboyant male stripper outfits in honor of Magic Mike.

Not including The Situation, who is not only named Mike, but is also a former stripper, is nonsense. To add to the lunacy, Michael Bolton and Michael Buble were chosen for the photo shoot over him. Have you seen Michael Bolton these days?

In response, we are declaring this the biggest snub of 2012. Tell us if you agree in the comments!
