Hope Solo Marries NFL Boyfriend the Day After He Was Arrested for Domestic Violence
Talk about a shotgun wedding!
We were just getting used to the idea that U.S. soccer star — and Dancing With the Stars Season 13 alum — Hope Solo had started dating former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens. Now we have to accept that he was arrested under suspicion of assault the day before their wedding — and then they got married anyway!
Hope and Jerramy have only been dating for a couple of months, but they were apparently serious enough about each other to apply for a marriage license on November 8. They had planned a (relatively) secret wedding on Tuesday, November 13, but the day before the blessed event, police arrested Jerramy on suspicion of assaulting her. Reports of what happened are conflicting, but according to court documents quoted in multiple media reports, Jerramy and Hope supposedly argued about where they were going to live after marriage — Washington or Florida. You’d almost think that was a bad sign for this already short relationship, but nope!
Charges were not filed against Jerammy and he and Hope went ahead and got hitched anyway — just hours after he was released from police custody. No one can say it wasn’t a memorable wedding day! Dave Mahler of Seattle’s KJR Radio tweeted the nuptial news late Tuesday night: "Confirmed: Jerramy Stevens and Hope Solo were married tonight. Events of yesterday morning didn't change plans. Sounds like more facts comin.”
What more facts does anyone need? It’s just crazy, stupid, love.
