Jersey Shore’s Angelina Says She Was “Uninvited” From MTV’s Hurricane Sandy Telethon
The Jersey Shore cast will be partaking in a MTV telethon, Restore the Shore, tonight to raise funds for Hurricane Sandy relief and recovery in Seaside Heights, NJ, but not ever Jersey star has been invited to the event.
Angelina, who quit the show twice during the first and second seasons, is upset because MTV is not allowing her to take part in the telethon. Angelina told TMZ that she tried to contact MTV numerous times to appear on the telethon but they never responded.
“I remain uninvited to participate,” Angelina told the website. “Even after attempts to contact the organizers by my management team.”
According to Angelina, she wanted to participate in the telethon because her friends and neighbors were badly affected by the storm. (Angelina is from Staten Island, which was one of the hardest hit areas.) She notes that she has volunteered with “local business owners and the Red Cross” but for some reason she really wanted to take part in this telethon.
One reason Angelina might have not been invited might have been her recent bizarre and hate-filled comments against gay rights. She said that doesn’t think that gay people should be allowed to get married and that, instead, they should just “marry the other type.” JWOWW fired back at Angelina’s comments, calling her “disgusting” and a “pigeon bitch” for her homophobic remarks.
Jersey Shore airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT onMTV.
