AMAs 2012: Taylor Swift Wins Favorite Country Artist, Surprising Zero People

Hot on the heels of Justin Bieber’s win for best pop artist, country songstress Taylor Swift won the American Music Award for Favorite Country Artist. If you’re surprised by this news, you obviously haven’t been listening to “All Too Well” on repeat while writing Harry Styles fan fiction like we have.

Taylor’s 2012 album, Red, sold 1.2 million copies in its first week, which is just ridiculous (for the record, Platinum status = 1 million). The only possible way you could have been like “Oh no way, T Swizzle won!?” is if you didn’t realize that she is still considered a country artist.

Well, she is. So country. And now, she is the FAVORITE country artist. Get with the program, guys. This is her eleventh AMA.
