Dancing With The Stars

Kelly Monaco on DWTS’ First-Ever All-Girls Finale: “I Embrace Girl Power”

The Dancing With the Stars Season 15 All-Stars season is full of firsts, but the most exciting one will occur in the finale. For the first time ever, the Finals will be entirely made up of female contestants.

The three finalists — Kelly Monaco, Melissa Rycroft, and Shawn Johnson — were gushing backstage about the all-girls finale (airing November 26). Kelly told Zap2it, “I embrace girl power … I think it’s awesome. I’m honored to be up there with two amazing women.” And we’re sure her super-sexy partner Val Chmerkovskiy won’t mind all the female energy either.

Melissa put things more bluntly, saying, “The girls beat the boys in this competition,” and Shawn was her usual enthusiastic self. “I’m so excited!” She continued, “Being all girls — it’s a first. So the All-Star season will be [even more] exciting.”

Are you as psyched as the finalists about the girly theme? With three of the hottest DWTS pros in on the action (Melissa’s partner Tony Dovolani, Shawn’s partner Derek Hough, and Val), we really can’t complain!

Catch a new episode of Dancing With the Stars Season 15: All-Stars on Monday, November 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
