Two and a Half Men Star Finds Religion, Wants to Leave Show, Asks Fans to Stop Watching
Wow! And here we thought Two and a Half Men was finding its groove in the post-Charlie Sheen world.
Angus T. Jones plays Jake, the half man on CBS's show, and TMZ says he makes $350,000 for his trouble. But TMZ linked to a new 14-minute video for the Forerunner Christian Church, in which Angus talks about his Christian faith and urges people to stop wathing his show.
"I'm on Two and a Half Men and I don't want to be on it," Angus said. "Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. [...] Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch. [...] You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can't. I'm not OK with what I'm learning, what the bible says and being on that television show."
My my. There’s a lot more to his speech, and it's around the halfway mark of the video. Who knows how this will turn out for the show...
