We love Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gretchen Rossi, and we’re curious how she’s done so well for herself in the money department. So we decided to get to the bottom of it!
Gretchen majored in psychiatry at Baylor University in Texas but moved to Orange County to pursue a very different career path: real estate. Gretchen became a successful real estate agent, although she had to give it up when her fiance, Jeff Beitzel, was diagnosed with leukemia.
Jeff had made a fortune in the automotive industry, and when he passed away in 2008, he left Gretchen with a $2.5 million sum, according to TMZ. However, Gretchen has said that much of that money went toward paying off debts owed by Jeff’s estate. (Gretchen’s first husband was Chris Rossi, whom she divorced in 2007.)
These days, Gretchen pockets $300K a year from Bravo to appear on Real Housewives, according to Celebrity Net Worth. She is quite the multi-tasker, having also launched her own line of handbags and makeup. And she is a musician as well, as she released a single called “Revelation” in 2010 and has performed in Vegas with the Pussycat Dolls.
As for her current net worth? It’s said to be an estimated $3 million. So when she sings with the Pussycat Dolls, she can change the lyrics to, “Dont cha wish your girlfriend was rich like me?”
