E! caught up with Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani backstage, and the couple with the night’s perfect scores revealed that their night was far from over.
"We're going to rehearsal after this," Melissa said. "It's not over yet. I could not be happier. Who would have thought that night one after the finals we would be in first place with a perfect score? I didn't!"
Tony, who has never won a Mirror Ball trophy, was gushing as well. "I couldn't possibly be more proud,” he said of his ecstatic partner. “It's been seven years — this season made me forget about all the other seasons I had difficulties with."
We hope they didn’t stay up all night rehearsing, since they still have tonight’s Instant Dances to get through. We’ll be watching!
