Phaedra Parks Responds to Her Butt Dial Snafu: “I Did Not Care Whether or Not She Attended Ayden’s Party”
At the end of last Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey confronted Phaedra Parks about comments she made about her in a voicemail message that was accidentally left for a mutual friend, which NeNe Leakes then passed on to Cyn.
In the voicemail, Phaedra stated that she “didn’t give a f—k” whether or not Cynthia came to her son Ayden’s birthday party.
When Cynthia asked Phaedra to lunch and called her out for the incident, Phaedra was more concerned with the bug bite on her chest, but in this week’s BravoTV.com blog, she elaborates on the seemingly-insulting comments she made.
“I never said anything malicious or derogatory about Cynthia, and it was not my intention to insinuate that she is insignificant,” Phaedra writes. “The point of my comment was to communicate that Cynthia's attendance to Ayden's second birthday party was not essential, as Cynthia is my peer, not Ayden’s. Ayden’s celebration was not about MY friends, but about his enjoyment with HIS family and friends.”
She also slips in a little dig at NeNe by writing, “Once again, it’s always sad when people choose to create drama when there truly is none.”
And while Phaedra may have felt some remorse over what she said to Cynthia, she wouldn’t take it back.
She explains, “While I have already apologized to Cynthia for any misunderstandings, real and assumed, I still stand by my statement that I did not care whether or not she attended Ayden’s party. If it were my party, I would have felt different, but Ayden is my son and he was the star and main focus of the party.”
“Hopefully, Cynthia has accepted my apology, as I do value our relationship,” she concludes.
We totally see Phaedra’s point of view, but do you still think she went too far? Tell us below!
