Grey’s Anatomy Spoiler: Why is “Everyone” in the Conference Room?

There’s something about Grey's Anatomy Season 9 and conference rooms … we just can’t seem to escape them, and neither can the docs.

Read spoilers at your own risk! For more on Wetpaint Entertainment's philosophy on spoilers, click here.

Patrick Dempsey (Derek Shepherd) recently tweeted a photo of a very hectic conference room filled with what he describes as “everyone.” The actor captioned the photo with, “Everyone is in this scene! Long night ahead.” For the actors or for the docs? Or both?

We’d normally assume that this meeting has to do with the plane crash due to the fact that most conference rooms are somehow related to that legal matter as of late, but based on the people in the room, we’re not so sure. Although the victims of the crash are there, we can also see Alex (Justin Chambers), Jackson (Jesse Williams), April (Sarah Drew), Richard (James Pickens Jr.) and some other unknown persons — apparently including the new character played by Constance Zimmer.

Could there be a big case coming to Seattle Grace-Mercy West, or perhaps another legal matter? And why is Richard at the head of the table as opposed to Owen (Kevin McKidd)?

Remember the days when all that conference room table was used for was testing Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Burke’s (Isaiah Washington) many wedding cake options? Oh the memories.

Catch the next new episode of Grey’s Anatomy on Thursday, November 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
