Kurt and Blaine’s Breakup Made Chris Colfer “Really Glad” — Why?

For months, all that actors Chris Colfer and Darren Criss have been saying is that they wanted a bit of drama for Kurt and Blaine. Klaine, though adorable, was easily one of Glee’s most boring couples.

Sure, their relationship was interesting in the beginning — back in the days of “Teenage Dream” and Kurt’s unrequited feelings for Blaine, as seen in songs like “When I Get You Alone.” But then Kurt and Blaine got together, and everything went downhill from there.

Towards the end, Klaine as a couple was just plain boring. They were together, sure, but they barely even held hands. They didn’t kiss. Their romance was cute and all, but it wasn’t very exciting.

Given all of that, Chris Colfer tells TV Line that he is actually glad to see Kurt and Blaine go their separate ways.

“It was really just nice to do something else,” Chris told the site. “As much as everyone wants to see them together forever, as actors that would have been so boring for us. We’d have to start saying “I love you” in different languages to spice things up a bit! So I’m really glad they’re broken up or separated or whatever they are for now.”

What do you think: Are you still just so heartbroken about the demise of Klaine that you don’t even want to hear it — or are you starting to think that Chris just might have a point? Head below and sound off.
