Stephen King’s Under the Dome Is Coming to CBS This Summer

Nobody tortures the citizens of Maine like Stephen King, and he's going to make a TV series out of it in the summer of 2013.

According to the L.A. Times, CBS has ordered 13 episodes of Under the Dome, which is adapted from King's novel of the same name. King will also be an executive producer on the project, which is being developed through Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment.

Under the Dome was reportedly set up at Showtime before this, but a network showing should give it more viewers, even if it limits the amount of sex, violence and curse words. What’s Under the Dome about? It follows a small Maine town that is mysteriously cut off from the rest of the country by a transparent dome.

Did you read the book? Will you watch this series?
