Vampire Diaries Top 5 OMG Moments From Season 4, Episode 7 “My Brother’s Keeper”: Damon and Elena Have Sex

We love those moments on The Vampire Diaries that make us gasp, pause, and rewind — and Season 4, Episode 7, “My Brother’s Keeper” is chock full of them. Here are the scenes that left our jaws agape.

5. Jeremy schools Stefan
“How far did the mark grow?” Stefan (Paul Wesley) asked Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) little brother. Technically it would be more accurate to say he “demanded.” After literally forcing Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) hand in the creation and decimation of a new vampire, Stef wanted to see how much closer the deed had brought them to his Save Elena goal. But, emboldened by his new hunter strength, Jeremy had a change of heart. “I’m sorry, Stefan. I can’t trust you,” the little Gilbert said; he refused to share the deets. But Stefan wouldn’t take no for an answer. He got in Jer’s face and threatened to “make” him cough up the info. Wrong move. Jeremy gutted his friend with a stake. “I guess I can’t be compelled anymore,” the hunter said. This isn’t good.

4. Caroline and Klaus share a moment
Considering that hybrid Chris died so that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) could get this date with Caroline (Candice Accola), they should at least have the semblance of a good time, right? And they did. After patiently listening to Blondie blather on about the Delena mess, the OV lightened the mood by pouring Car a glass of champagne and teasing the reigning Miss Mystic Falls about her beauty pageant application. Later he truthfully answered one of Caroline’s loaded questions about whether he’d thought about being human again. “Once,” he said. Then he told her about an encounter he had with a hummingbird and how it made him appreciate the value of fragile mortal life. “How satisfying everyday must be,” he said. “That was the only time I thought about being human.” Then he gave Caroline that look. You know the one that’s so honest, sweet, and endearing that it almost makes you forget who is 99.9% of the time.

3. Jeremy tries to end Elena
Blame it on his hunter side. Or his live-forever ring. Jeremy came to the pageant packin’ and ready to party in the most dangerous of ways. When his big sis asked him where he’d been, he went off. “I don’t want to hurt you, but everything inside of me is telling me to drive this stake through your heart,” he said. When Elena tried to reassure him that they could work through his slayer phase, Jer’s bloody hand made her eyes vamp. Then he attacked. She shoved him to the floor. He feigned a knockout. When she kneeled to check on him, lil’ bro stabbed his big sis in the neck then raised a larger stake to go in for the kill.

2. Stefan realizes the truth
Let’s look at the facts. Elena died with Damon’s blood in her system, so she woke up undead. Since then, she’s fed from Damon and admitted her feelings toward him are intensified. Yet she hasn’t been acting like a “normal” vamp — or even like her usual Elena self. The 150-year-old vampire Stefan should have figured it out first, but it took a little booze and brooding for him to figure it out. “Elena is sired to Damon!” Stefan exclaimed to Caroline, who was miles ahead of him.

1. Damon and Elena do it
Last was the night! After Jeremy’s attack, Elena moved into the Salvatore house and Stefan moved out. Alone, in front of the fireplace in the den, Elena and Damon bonded — first over their brothers’ hatred for them, then over Stefan’s angst and Caroline’s disgust. Next they danced. Then they kissed. Flash-forward past a few broken panels on the walls, and some ripped off clothing and, well… you know they rest. They’re hot. They have chemistry. So naturally they ended up writhing in Damon’s sheets, and they did it, OK. They did it!
