Ginnifer talked to Access Hollywood about how the relationship between Snow and her daughter Emma (Jennifer Morrison) will shift again, since Snow is pretty traumatized after her heartbreaking Episode 8 experience with Charming in that dream world — thinking they would be finally be together, only to discover they couldn’t even touch. And now Charming is suspended in that fiery limbo, because true love’s kiss couldn’t break his sleeping curse.
“I cried every time I read that scene in the script,” Ginnifer told Access. “I had not quite realized until we were filming the scene — that is the shift in the dynamic between Emma and Snow when Emma really has to… get Snow under control and take over as leader.”
That was a sad scene to watch, even if Snow and Charming vowed — as they do — to always find each other. But maybe it’s good for Emma to take on a leadership role; she’s so confident in Storybrooke but often lost in post-apocalyptic Fairytale Land. Badass Emma is always preferable to Clueless Emma.
