Once Upon a Time Spoiler: Details on the “Heightened” Final Moments of the Winter Finale

The first half of Once Upon a Time Season 2 is coming to a close this Sunday (December 2), and we can't wait to see what unfolds as Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) race against Cora (Barbara Hershey) to get to Storybrooke.

But what can we expect in the last riveting minutes of the winter finale? Jennifer Morrison and Ginnifer Goodwin gave TVLine a sneak peek.

Ginnifer hinted that the end of the finale is "so satisfying," but also very tense. As Jennifer explained, "It’s set up in a way where we don’t know what we’d be coming back to if we go through the portal, while in Storybrooke they don’t really know if it’d be us coming through or someone else. It really allows for the emotions to be heightened."

"And, after all that we’ve done, something might be enacted that would…be fatal upon our coming back," Ginnifer explained, probably referring to the barrier Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) and Regina (Lana Parrilla) set up.

Another fun hint about the finale? Jennifer promises we will definitely get to see Emma get into a sword fight!

Catch the next new episode of Once Upon a Time on Sunday, December 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
