The Walking Dead Season 3 Spoilers: Don’t Worry, Andrea Will Change!

The Walking Dead is already a violent show, but that's usually on screen. We may see the real zombie apocalypse start from the wrath of fans who have to wait two months for new episodes after Sunday's Season 3, Episode 8 midseason finale, "Made to Suffer."

One person who may be hiding in a bunker for the next two months is Laurie Holden, whose character Andrea seems to be falling in love with The Governor (David Morrissey), whom the audience knows to be a sick puppy, even if Andrea is totally ignorant.

Laurie talked to Entertainment Tonight about Andrea’s future, asking if we'd see Andrea choose between Team Prison (which now includes her friend Michonne) and The Gov's Team Woodbury on Sunday’s Episode 8.

"I can't say if that happens in the finale, but that is definitely something she will be confronted with at some point," Laurie said. "I am excited to see the world's collide on Sunday, which just makes the show that much more intense and dangerous and terrifying. I can say that the mid-season finale is going to make people want to throw their TV sets out the window. I want to apologize in advance to the world because it is a treacherous way to leave people hanging until the new season starts. But it's good storytelling."

However you end up feeling about Andrea, just know that she may be on a path to redemption. As Laurie noted of her character’s sexual relationship with The Gov: “I don't think it's going over so well [with fans] ... but it's not supposed to.” We must be working up to her slow revelation, right?

Showrunner Glen Mazzara told TV Guide, "[Andrea] has no idea that the Governor has any secrets, and that veil is going to be lifted in a huge way, and she's going to be very, very shocked when she's confronted with the true reality of the choices that she's made."

The full season — which includes eight more episodes starting in February — is just wrapping production, and Laurie told ET, "I mean, what I'm shooting now is like a totally different Andrea compared to the episode you're about to see."

A totally different Andrea sounds good right about now! Maybe she can forgive Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) prison group for abandoning her at the end of Season 2, and maybe Michonne (Danai Gurira) can forgive Andrea for abandoning her for The Gov. Although, that's a lot of change for a character who has already been all over the map. "I feel like I've shot 10 movies in three years," Laurie continued. "I was suicidal and then I was isolated and then I was angry and then I joined the group and became empowered and became a warrior and then I fell in love."

We loved her journey on Season 2, although some people have been unhappy with the TV show version of Andrea for longer than her Season 3 choices. She is very different from the comic book character, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing — at least not if she does eventually find redemption.

What do you think of Andrea? We have a poll on her here, if you care to weigh in.
