Adam Levine Gives Candid Post-Elimination Interview, Claims to be “More Fascinating” Than Honey Boo Boo

Last week we saw a first in The Voice history when coach Christina Aguilera lost all of her contestants, leaving her free to critique the remaining singers. And last night, Adam Levine joined Xtina when Melanie Martinez and Amanda Brown were eliminated

Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the candid coach on the red carpet following the results show, and the tattooed rocker wasn’t afraid to sound off on all topics, ranging from eliminations to Honey Boo Boo.

Wetpaint Entertainment: Did you learn anything this season that you’ll apply toward your coaching next season?

Adam Levine: You know, you win things and you lose things. If you win everything all the time then you wouldn't be human. It's kind of how you respond to the losing and tweak things and change things and come back that much stronger for understanding the dynamics of whatever failures you make. No one failed. That’s what’s really crazy. These last six were so talented — it’s December; the show’s over, they won. So they didn’t get the $53,000 after taxes and the really crazy weird record deal that they are already going to get anyway. I mean, I’m just going to be honest with you.

Those six people are winners and every single one of them should be proud for however much further they make it in the competition. I think that is the general feeling in the air — nobody was crushed. I think, actually, there are so many amazing allegiances that have formed on the show that are so great, and that is the saddest thing to see end — the comradery amongst artists. But you know, it’s on to a new chapter for these guys. Listen, the winner has to go home, too. People don’t realize that — the winner probably experiences the biggest culture shock when they say to themselves, “Now what?” The winner still has to go home. Don’t forget that.

Barbara Walters just announced the most fascinating people of 2012. One of them was Honey Boo Boo ...

OK, Barbara Walters … I am not fascinating, but I can assure you that I am more fascinating than [Honey Boo Boo]!

Who is one of the most fascinating people in your life?

In my life? Ooh ... my mother, because she made me. That is an unbelievable process that I still don’t quite understand.
