As if he didn’t have enough on his plate as it is, the busy Glee star tells ET Online that he’s currently working on the second book in the series. “I'm very excited to be working on the sequel,” he says. “Actually, I have my computer open right now, and I'm tightening up chapter 10.”
As for what to expect from the sequel to the best-selling first book, Chris says that there will be a mystery that is keeping the twins from returning to the magic land of the title. “The sequel takes place two years after the first book, so the twins are 14, and they have not been back to the Land of Stories — or seen their grandmother — in two years, and they don't know why.”
“They desperately want to go back into the fairytale world and see their grandmother, and they can't figure out what is preventing that,” he continues.
And when can we expect to pick up a copy for ourselves? “Hopefully, knock on wood, [the book will come out] in late summer/early fall of 2013 — sooner rather than later,” Chris says. “I know a lot of readers are anxious for the next chapter, which I'm excited about.”
As for why Chris stays busy writing when he has so much else going on, he says, “I just have the best time writing.” What a coincidence —we have the best time reading what he writes!
