Actor Josh Lucas Says That Sleep Training His Infant Was “Incredibly Difficult”
Josh Lucas has a firm stance regarding his love of fatherhood.
The actor — who starred in Sweet Home Alabama and the short-lived TV version of The Firm— and his wife, Jessica, welcomed their son, Noah, five months ago. It now sounds like Josh couldn't be more thrilled.
"Everyone says it’s the greatest adventure you’ll ever have, and I’m amazed at how much I’m loving it," he tells People.
Even enduring a tough week of sleep training was enough to derail his enthusiasm. "It was incredibly difficult," Josh admits. "The child is enraged and hates you. And yet you’re totally sleep-deprived and amazed by the experience — even when he’s screaming — of what you’re going through."
The 41-year-old first-time father has even shared his love of movies with his son, as the two went to see Wreck-It Ralph together. "I took him to a Tiny Tots screening, which is where you’re allowed to bring your baby,” Josh says. “He sat there with his mouth wide open. He literally watched 15 minutes with his mouth agape, and then passed out like he’d been shot."
So cute! And don't worry, Noah — we can sometimes get sleepy during movies, too.
