Perhaps because Lindsay’s late-night scuffle was reportedly over bandmate Max George or perhaps because they’re legitimately concerned about “the best drunk in New York,” the boys of The Wanted haven’t stopped voicing their support for the troubled star since she got arrested for assault last week.
The Wanted member Jay McGuiness even went so far as to don as homemade “Free Lindsay” t-shirt during the band’s Thursday night concert.
“I’m a little bit of an artist, so I got the old sharpie out,” Jay told MTV News about his t-shirt. “And yeah, after a small scuffle that went down, I felt very sorry for her. I wanted to cheer her up and I think she said she liked it, right?”
“She’s the best drunk in New York,” Max told E! Online. “She was cool. She had a bit of a scrap but it wasn’t down to us.”
The boys’ support apparently hasn’t gone unnoticed by LiLo. In the star’s first public appearance since the whole assault ordeal, Lindsay hung out backstage at Q102’s Jingle Ball concert in Philadelphia where The Wanted was performing.
