Pregnant Kate Middleton Leaves the Hospital With Prince William
After four days in the hospital, Kate Middleton is free to enjoy — err, make it through — the rest of her pregnancy in the confines of Buckingham Palace.
The Duchess of Cambridge left King Edward VII Hospital in London after being treated for hyperemesis gravidarum, or acute morning sickness, which affects about one in 50 women.
Kate, who is less than 12 weeks pregnant with her royal baby, exited the hospital this morning smiling and clutching a bouquet of yellow flowers. The Duchess was escorted by her husband, Prince William, who had visited his wife in the hospital every day during her stay.
"The Duchess of Cambridge has been discharged from the King Edward VII Hospital and will now head to Kensington Palace for a period of rest," the couple’s assistant press secretary said in a statement. "Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank the staff at the hospital for the care and treatment The Duchess has received."
