WHOO WEE! That was quite a week on The X Factor, eh? With the double dose of each contestant, it was definitely a great opportunity to get to know more than one side of the remaining six competitors.
CeCe Frey kicked things off with a stripped-down version of Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory” and then hopped off the piano to sing Katy Perry’s “Part of Me” in full, brightly-colored glory.
Carly Rose Sonenclar shone, as usual, even though she was worried about singing Justin Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me.” Her second song, Beyonce’s “If I Was a Boy” was beautiful and haunting.
Fifth Harmony got some flak from L.A. Reid for not actually singing harmonies. They took turns singing on a quiet version of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” and made L.A. take notice on their cover of Demi Lovato’s “Give Your Heart a Break.”
Emblem3 should probably be illegal in homes housing girls and breakables, because the ladies straight up lose their ish when they take the stage. They sang Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are" to mixed reviews, following up with a low-energy “Forever Young.”
Diamond White made us believers when she sang James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World” and kept us entertained with Rihanna’s “Diamonds” (although we still aren’t sold on the song choice).
Tate Stevens kept things clean ‘n country with his version of Garth Brooks’s “If Tomorrow Never Comes,” but his unplugged cover of Bon Jovi’s “Living on a Prayer” had us scratching our heads.
It’s up to you who stays and who goes, and this week two contestants will be going home before the Top 4 hit the semi-final next week. So, what do you think, who’s on their way out? Pick two and tell us what you think.
