How Were the Ratings For Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 8?

Uh-oh. Not nearly as many people saw the second Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) sex scene as witnessed the first. The Vampire Diaries ratings for Season 4, Episode 8, “We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street” were down quite a bit from the previous week.

TV by the Numbers reports the show had 2.4 million viewers last night, while 3.2 million watched Season 4, Episode 7, “My Brother’s Keeper.” Of the non-reruns, this is one of TVD’s lowest-rated shows of the season.

We expect interest to rise next week, now that we have a little more info on the sire bond and know that someone’s life is in grave danger. (Very grave.)
