Nashville’s Top 3 Music Moments From Season 1, Episode 8: “Where He Leads Me”

Nashville packs so many amazing song performances into each episode that it’s hard to keep track of them all. And while we love each and every one, life is all about choices, so here are our top 3 music moments from Season 1, Episode 8: “Where He Leads Me.” (Psst! You can buy them all here!)

3. Avery performs “Peace in the Valley” for Marilyn and Dominic
Dominic may have been “shocked” by Avery’s (Jonathan Jackson) performance, but we weren’t, as we’re used to the guy impressing us onstage. (It’s offstage when Avery’s behavior is less impressive.) And it’s nice that this episode makes Avery more likable, with him giving that champagne bottle to Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and then defending his own band when Dominic tries to fire them. Maybe we were wrong about Avery. (Not likely, but maybe.)

2. Juliette performs “For Your Glory” at Sean’s church
We’re used to more uptempo numbers from Juliette (Hayden Panettiere), but this slower one might just be our fave solo tune from her so far. And we’re torn about her relationship with Sean: They’re cute, but it feels like Juliette isn’t really herself around him. (Plus, what can we say we like watching people get it on, which these two aren’t doing.) Still, it’s adorable seeing Juliette connect with Sean’s sister. Maybe you can buy us pink cowboy boots next, Juliette?

1. Scarlett and Gunnar rehearse “When the Right One Comes Along”
Gunnar (Sam Palladio) gives a powerful performance of this song on his own, but it’s the version by him and Scarlett together that really knocks our socks off. Sadly, it appears we may have to get used to Gunnar singing by his lonesome for a while, since their (smokin’ hot) kiss has made things mighty awkward between them. That would be a bummer, since to paraphrase a line from this song we want to throw confetti every time they’re together.

I need this soundtrack now!

I love them all!
