Real Housewives’ Yolanda Foster Hospitalized For Lyme Disease Treatment

In what looks like a much scarier procedure than having lamb stem cells injected, Real Housewives of Beverly HillsYolanda H. Foster tweeted a picture of herself getting ready to have a port implanted.

According to Yolanda, the procedure is part of her treatment for Neuro Borrelia Lyme disease. The bacteria is spread to humans through infected tick bites. Symptoms such as fever, fatigue, depression, and a skin rash. Without treatment, the heart and central nervous system can be affected as well.

Yolanda didn’t elaborate on her treatment, but antibiotics are standard. A port would allow long-term delivery of intravenous medication. Later that night, she tweeted, "Rough day at the hospital but feeling so blessed and thankful for being home in bed #socializedmedicineisamust!!!!"

We’re sending well wishes her way! Feel better soon, Yolanda!
