True Blood Season 6: Major Character’s Dad Is a New Series Regular

Looks like Alcide will get a lot more quality dad time in Season 6.

Deadline announced this morning that Robert Patrick has signed on for True Blood’s sixth season as a series regular, meaning we’ll see his character, werewolf Jackson Herveaux, in nearly every episode.

We last saw Jackson as a lone wolf, helping Alcide fend off baby vampires and reclaim the title of packmaster of the Shreveport pack in Season 5.

Robert, 54, is beloved to film and TV audiences as John Doggett in The X-Files, Thomas Ryan in The Unit, and as the T-100 in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Most recently, he starred in this season’s sovereign submarine drama Last Resort until ABC pulled the plug on the show last month.
