Florence + the Machine’s Frontwoman Stops Her Concert Mid-Song to Break Up a Fight!
Florence Welch wants her fans' fighting days to be over.
The 26-year-old lead singer of Florence + the Machine stopped a concert midway through her hit song, "Shake It Out," in order to stop a fight in the audience.
"I can't have a fight in front of me while I'm singing this song! No fighting allowed," she said to the two fans who were brawling at the show in Aberdeen, Scotland on December 9. "I don't know what's happening, but I would quite like it to stop. It doesn't matter whose fault it is."
"Excuse me, all of you — stop it," she said to her fans, as they began to self-consciously chuckle. "I'm sorry, all of you, if you're upset." This led to cheers from the audience.
Then, when Florence noticed that one of the girls involved in the skirmish was crying, the singer actually hopped down off the stage to give the girl a hug!
Finally, after encouraging everyone to "be good to each other," Florence then hopped back onstage and said, "Let's start again, shall we?"
We seriously love this woman! Maybe she should consider getting into politics?
