Morrissey Slams Kate Middleton After Nurse’s Suicide, Questions Her Pregnancy and Sickness
And here we thought Donald Trump would be the first to attack pregnant Kate Middleton — like he blamed her for those nude photos.
Morrissey talked to New Zealand's 3News about the British royal family, which he hates, saying Kate and the royals should shoulder some responsibility for the death of the nurse who was tricked by the radio show hosts' prank. He didn't blame the two hosts for what happened, but said it was "the pressure around" the nurse from the hospital and the royal family that is more to blame.
The British singer said Kate was in the hospital "for absolutely no reason" and "she feels no shame about the death of this woman. She's saying nothing about the death of this poor woman. The arrogance of the British royals is absolutely staggering."
Not only does he dislike the royal family — calling them "zombies" and a “dictatorship” — he also questioned Kate's medical diagnosis of hyperemesis gravidarum diagnosis. "Does she have a health condition?" he asked. "Is it anorexia or is it pregnancy? We don’t know. But what is the health condition? I mean, morning sickness already? So much hoo haw and then suddenly, as bright as a button, as soon as this poor woman dies she's out of hospital? It doesn't ring true."
He's hardly the first to question the existence of the British monarchy, and not the first to suggest the Australian DJs weren't actually to blame for the nurse's death. But to go after Kate herself? That seems extreme, no?
