Which TV and Film Star Gained 60 Pounds For His Latest Role? See the Shocking Transformation (PHOTOS)
Somebody's weight is a much higher "number" these days!
TV and film star Chris Pratt has put on 60 pounds for his role as a lawyer in the upcoming Vince Vaughn comedy, Starbuck.
"I gained 60 pounds in about four and a half months," Chris tells Jay Leno. "I just did it the old fashioned way: eating and drinking my face off. I've lost a little bit of it, but it was hard. It was probably just as hard as losing weight. You wouldn't believe it, but it is. It's these same principle: It's all about pain."
Chris is best known for his role as Andy in Parks & Recreation, and he has also appeared in such films as Moneyball, What's Your Number?, and the upcoming Zero Dark Thirty.
Chris says he kept eating while filming Season 5 of Parks & Rec. "Our props department claimed that I ate 81 scoops of ice cream. It was really messed up," he says with a laugh. "It's hard to have delicious ice cream around you and not eat it. When you're waiting around for everyone to get the scene set up, you're still eating ice cream."
We're with you on that one, Chris. Ice cream is delicious. As far as eating eighty-one scoops, however...
On the other hand, Chris got into perhaps the best shape of his life (as seen in the second photo on this article) to play a Navy SEAL in Zero Dark Thirty.
"I got in good shape for that movie. I was able to go with [costar Joel Edgerton] to the BUD/s training facility in Coronado and got to meet real SEAL team guys," Chris says. "I was very nervous to meet these guys because I didn't know how they were going to be. They're the kind of strong that they don't have to tell you or prove to you that they're strong. You know!"
Chris is married to actress Anna Faris, and the pair gave birth to a son, Jack, in August.
We must admit, Chris looks pretty cute no matter how much he weighs!
