It’s only one week till the big reveal, and we can’t wait to find out which of the Top 4 X Factor 2012 contestants will walk away with a five million dollar recording contract.
So, who is up for the prize?
1. Carly Rose Sonenclar. The 13-year-old Mamaroneck, NY native has Broadway experience and a killer voice. She’s been described as “a little diva,” “an alien,” and a “freak of nature” — all in the best ways. She first auditioned with Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good,” and has been ranked either first or second every week, and is currently ranked second behind Tate Stevens.
2. Tate Stevens. A 37-year-old native of Raymore, Missouri, Tate has been making waves each week with his solid renditions of (largely) country songs. Fighting Carly Rose for the top spot throughout the competition, Tate is currently ranked first. He has almost never received negative feedback, and has been lauded for singing America’s songs.
3. Emblem3. The three boys of Huntington Beach-based band Emblem3 are Drew Chadwick, 20, Wesley Stromberg, 19, and Keaton Stromberg, 16. Although they live in Cali and embrace the lifestyle through their laidback clothing and musical stylings, they are originally from Sequim, WA. They are currently ranked third and made the biggest impact on crowds when they sang “Sunset Boulevard” in their first audition.
4. Fifth Harmony. The five girls in the girl group were put together before Boot Camp when they each failed to make it through as solo singers. Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello, and Normani Hamilton have received criticism for not actually singing harmonies and frequently take turn singing lead, with little back up from the rest of the band. They are currently ranked fourth and their greatest strength is that they are close to each other and click well as a group.
So, which of these four acts will win it all? Before they can make it to the finals on December 19 and 20, they have to get through one last week of live performances. Tune in to watch them all sing tonight at 8PM PT/ET on FOX.
