X Factor’s Fifth Harmony Tease “Unexpected” Semi-Finals Performance — Exclusive

Fifth Harmony is like that super sweet group of friends you have who also happen to be so talented, you kind of want to be them. Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello, and Normani Hamilton have only been together for a little, but they’ve been able to show themselves off in great ways on The X Factor. Wetpaint Entertainment chatted exclusively with the fivesome about their biggest competition and changing things up.

Wetpaint: What was your reaction to last week’s double elimination and having to say goodbye to Cece and Diamond?
Lauren: Well we were good friends with both of them, CeCe was like a big sister to us and she is an absolutely amazing person. And Diamond, we just became really close to her. We were just really sad when she left the first time so it was even more devastating for her to leave the second time, especially because she had to battle with us. It was a bittersweet moment when we were saved, because we were really sad that she had to go, but we were so happy that we were saved.

Have any of you spoken to either Diamond or Cece?
Ally: Yeah, they’re doing really well from what I’ve heard.
Camila: You’re going to see them in the future.

What is your strategy going into the final two weeks of X Factor?
Lauren: Work hard!
Ally: Play hard! Yeah, work hard, play hard and this week we’re going to be able to showcase a little bit of a different side to us in the group and we’re really excited to be able to show that side of us now.
Normani: We’re bringing something unique to the table.
Lauren: Something you haven’t seen yet!
Dinah Jane: It’s very unexpected! And that’s all we’re going to tell you!

Who would you say is your biggest competition at this point?
Lauren: I think everybody definitely, like everybody is bringing out their big guns right now. We can’t really say one person in particular plus everyone has their own lane they’re in so it’s not like you can really compare.
Ally: And they’re all doing really well so they’re all our competition!
