We’ve watched the promo again and again, now we’re breaking it down — frame by frame — in search of clues about what’s to come. Take a look at what we discovered!
00:01 — “What will you do without all-new Glee?” Well, crumple down in a heap on the floor near our lockers, just like Blaine (Darren Criss). Obviously. WWBAD: What would Blaine Anderson do? It’s basically our motto for life.
00:03 — “Sit around and wait. For all the nerds and the freaks. Fine, Tina(Jenna Ushkowitz) — we guess that works, too. As long as Blaine will still be there.
00:05 — “No. See it anytime on FOX On-Demand and FOX.com.” Uh, sorry, announcer guy. We actually didn’t hear a word you said. We’re sort of distracted by the fact that McKinley is totally having another high school dance!
00:06 — And the New Directions boys are performing! Talk about a Sadie Hawkins dream come true. No word yet which song Sam (Chord Overstreet), Joe (Samuel Larsen), Artie(Kevin McHale) and the boys are performing, but we bet it will be cheesy, boy band-y and all-around fantastic.
00:09 — “This January...” Yes, January. Glee won’t be back from winter break until almost the end of the month: Thursday, January 24, 2013, to be exact.
00:10 — But look at all the pretty blue dresses! All of the New Direction girls are dressed up in matching blue outfits. But hold on a second: Doesn’t it look like they’re all in performance attire? We thought the New Directions’ loss at Sectionals put them out of the competitive circuit for the rest of the year. Is it possible that things might have changed since then?
00:11 — Now Kurt’s having his first day at NYADA. We’ve only been waiting for the moment since practically... forever. Kurt (Chris Colfer) is officially a NYADA student. But his Intro to Stage Combat class (or whatever) looks a little intense. Watch out, buddy!
00:12 — “Sweet merciful Lord...” Blaine and Tina look pretty shocked. What could have prompted such an awe-filled reaction?
Oh, nevermind. Sam is just shirtless again. (This happens at least every couple of episodes. Nothing new here. Carry on.)
00:14 — Wait a second. Are Jake and Kitty back together? Because they’re certainly looking quite flirtatious to us! Well, Kitty (Becca Tobin) is flirting with Jake (Jacob Artist). Whether or not he returns her affections still remains to be seen.
00:16 — And she’s picking on the elder Puckerman. “Don’t you have to be able to spell to be a writer?” she snarks. “I know how to spell,” Puck (Mark Salling) fires back. “Leave my brother A-L-O-N...?” Nice one, Puckerman.
00:20 — And especially all of this! Hellooooo, shirtless Brody (Dean Geyer). Hold on a second. Did he and Rachel (Lea Michele) just hook up? Uh, Miss Berry... mind if we trade lives?
00:22 — Now Rachel drops a bombshell. “I’m going to be doing a topless scene.” Well, guess we know now why the episode’s called “Naked.”
