Scott Speedman Talks Felicity Fangirls and Reunion Plans
Nineties show reunions are all the rage nowadays, and Felicity is no exception.
The WB show starring Keri Russell, Scott Foley, and Scott Speedman ran from 1998 to 2002, but still gets discussed when the stars sign on for new projects. Take Speedman. He's now starring on ABC's recently cancelled Last Resort, but he talked to Playboy about the lingering love for Felicity and his character, Ben Covington.
"That show didn’t get massive ratings, but the fans we had were rabid," Scott, now 37, said. "It makes you wonder what guys like Johnny Depp and Robert Pattinson go through. I never got near their level, but I was close enough to get my feet wet, to sort of peek around the corner, see the hysteria and say, 'No, thank you.' But I’ve thought about a Felicity sequel. People want a reunion. I joke that I’d totally do it if it’s years later and my character, Ben, weighs 500 pounds. He’s a shut-in, and they’re bringing paramedics and pulleys to get him out of bed."
Do it! Just make sure Scott Foley's Noel Crane returns too — and stays cute.
