But in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, bluesy songstress says she’s not worried about what it means for her burgeoning career.
“I definitely want to be an artist that is being heard all the time, but they had a lot going on there and had to change things up, so I have to respect that,” she said. “I’ll find another great home.”
The Wheeling, Illinois native doesn’t have a lot to complain about it in looking back on her accomplishments in 2012. She released her debut album, Listen Up!, in May and was the only Idol alum to ever appear at Lollapalooza in Chicago. She even performed alongside her “musical soulmate” and good friend Casey Abrams at the historic Carnegie Hall.
Still managed by 19 Entertainment, Reinhart’s looking forward to getting back in the studio to work on her next album.
“I just want to evolve. It’s important to listen to your heart.” She’s also planning a holiday show on December 19, which is set to feature her family and some of her favorite Christmas tunes. We hope it includes her stellar duet with Casey of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”
Despite a busy schedule, Haley is still hoping to make time to watch the upcoming season of Idol, namely because resident diva Mariah Carey will be sitting at the judging table.
“I’m more excited about Mariah Carey than anybody else because I think she has the total right to be there.” Hmmm...is that a dig at the other judges? What do you think?
