Jacqueline Laurita on Her Son’s Autism: We Don’t Have Time to “Feel Sorry For Ourselves”

Jacqueline and Chris Laurita’s 3-year-old son, Nicholas, was diagnosed with autism many months ago, but instead of wallowing in the enormity of the diagnosis, the whole family is doing anything and everything they can to get their boy back.

As BravoTV reports, Jacqueline has bigger things to tackle than feeling sorry for herself. “We don't have the time to be in shock or feel sorry for ourselves,” she explains. Instead, the close family is completely focused on helping Nick get better.

One way in which Jacqueline can help her son is by controlling his diet, which is now free of wheat, soy, gluten, dairy, and several other things. “Our goal is to help Nicholas be the healthiest he can be, from the inside out, so that he can feel his best and be more responsive to therapy,” Jacqueline continued.

As we reported last week, all of Jacqueline’s effort is clearly paying off. Nick is now reading several words and improving his speech by stringing several words together. Way to go, buddy!
