Jacqueline Laurita Says Nicholas’s Autism Has Brought Her Family Closer Together

When Jacqueline Laurita’s 3-year-old son, Nicholas, was diagnosed with autism several months ago, the difficult news could have easily driven her family apart. However, Jac actually insists that in the wake of Nick’s illness, the already-close family has grown even closer.

She tells Fast and the Fab, “Everyone does their share as we all have a common goal. My husband Chris and I both do our share of research and discuss our next plan of action with each other. My daughter Ashlee, who lives in California now, is very supportive from afar.”

And Jacqueline says the most supportive member of the Laurita clan is her oldest son. “My older son CJ is the most supportive, loving, patient brother, Nick could ever have,” she spills. “Nicholas responds very well to CJ. They play together.”

But what about the Laurita’s extended family, like the Manzo’s, who also appear on The Real Housewives of New Jersey?

Just as we expected, they are fully invested in Nicholas’s recovery as well. “The Manzo’s, Caroline, Albert and her kids, have been above and beyond with their support,” Jac says. “The rest of our family is supportive as well.”

We’re so glad that Jacqueline and her family were able to make the best of Nick’s diagnosis and we can’t wait to find out more about his progress!
