Ke$ha Understands Why “Die Young” Is Now “Inappropriate,” Deletes Tweets About Being Forced to Sing Lyrics

Yesterday, the news came out that Ke$ha's hit song "Die Young" was being pulled from various radio stations after the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

Afterward, Ke$ha tweeted about not wanting to sing the "we're gonna die young" lyrics to begin with, writing (via Fuse), "I had my very own issue with 'Die Young' for this reason,” she tweeted. “I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO.”

Those tweets have since been deleted, but one new tweet remains: "I'm so so so sorry for anyone who has been effected by this tragedy.and I understand why my song is now inappropriate. words cannot express."

So even if some fans think radio stations are being oversensitive to pull her song, the singer herself seems to be siding with the stations.
